PCIe通道还剩下12个。以后肯定是M.2的天下,12个PCIe道肯定会成为瓶颈。多出20个

I think Threadripper doesn't support dual CPUs. Now they are packing more
and more cores on a MCM module to make single socket setup very competitive.
AMD is actually showing some love in 1 socket even for EPYC servers:

Intel's is probably 20 core on a monolithic die but they anticipates low
yield so no 20 core will be selling initially. Threadripper is using the
lego approach to put 2 ryzens on a interposer.
Performance = freq x IPC x number of cores x scaling coefficent
Looks like intel will lower the base clock speed of high core CPUs. AMD will
do the same but probably to a less degree. We will need to wait until they
come out to know the performance.
Price wise, i9 is WalletRipper
