So I have a wireless/wired network router (DLink DIR665) linked to the modem
. Now I need more than 4 wired connections so I will buy a wired network
switch with 8 ports, such as this one:

The question is, should I link my computers and other devices with wired
network connections to the switch or to the router? which way is faster/
better?
Do you guys know if a consumer level router also switches? or it functions
like a network hub

现在的router都带switch的
你给的switch是gigabit的，所以连在switch上的电脑之间是gigabit/s
switch和router之间的通信则由慢的设备决定
