I seen that as well and even went into my rules and regs book issued by the
atf and found the same thing. So i call the atf direct and posed the
question to them and they told me a rifle can be transfered but not a
handgun per the new codes.
Sorry but I can not help you with a handgun purchase until you have a green
card or certificate of dual residency. If I did both of us could face prison
time.
green card is the easiest way for you to obtain a handgun. If anyone tells
you otherwise they are wrong.

Dear Sir or Madam: Non-immigrant aliens admitted under a non-immigrant visa
may purchase any firearm to include long guns (rifles and shotguns) as well
as handguns (pistols and revolvers) under Federal law so long as they can
provide identification, establish their residency in the State in which they
are purchasing, are of the legal age to purchase said firearms AND have as
you indicated a Hunting License. Thank you for your inquiry. |
