A Voucher for a Concealed Handgun License. It cost more than $150, and
I
bought it at $65, Now I am selling it at $50. You can come to pick it
up, or
I can email it to you. Just reply to this post.
*****THIS IS A TWO DAY COURSE***** Saturday will be held as classroom
instruction from 8:00 -- 6:00 at the Houston Museum of Natural
Science,
Isaac Arnold Hall. Sunday will be held at the IMPACT ZONE shooting
range in
Hempstead.
THE CONCEALED HANDGUN classroom portion will be held at the Houston
Museum
of Natural Science, Isaac Arnold Hall on Saturday. The Museum is
located at
5555 Hermann Park dr. The QUALIFYING will be held Sunday at the IMPACT
ZONE,
10878 Kerr Rd. in Hempstead, Tx 77445 (directions can be found under
the
instructions for the 4 hr tactical training course)
What are the times for the class:
The classroom portion will begin at 8:00 AM and last until 6:00 PM,
you will
be given an hour for lunch . You will have several breaks during the
day as
well.
What you will need to bring to class
*****You will need to bring your LIVING SOCIAL Voucher*****
You will need a writing pad and a BLACK ballpoint pen.
*****This class is not designed to teach you to shoot, so you will be
expected to safely operate your weapon. If you are unsure of your
ability to
safely operate your weapon, we suggest that you set up a private
lesson
with a licensed instruct or schedule a 4 hr. tactical course prior to
attending the Concealed handgun class*******
For the 2nd day of class at the Shooting Range: QUALIFYING will begin
at 7:
00 am and usually will not last more than 1 ½ hours
You will need to bring your weapon, minimum .32 calibers, preferably
semi-
automatic, magazine and holster (if you do not have a weapon, there
will be
guns on hand for you to use.)
You will need ammunition. A minimum of 50 rounds will be needed.
Ours is a 2 day course, as required by the Texas Department of Public
Safety
. It will be taught by a Licensed Concealed Handgun Instructor. The
course
will cover Handgun Restrictions, Safe storage and handling of
firearms,
Eligibility Requirements for owning Handguns, Concealed Handgun
Techniques,
Relevant Texas Penal Codes, Non-Violent Dispute Resolution, Use of
Force,
and Use of Deadly Force. There will be a course review and a Final
Examination on which you must score 70% or better.
During class, we photograph you and complete the necessary paperwork
for you
to apply to the Texas Department of Public Safety for the license.
(Unless
you need to gather any supporting documentation) Once you get the
application in the mail you will need to get the background process
moving
per the Texas Department of Public Safety. The cost of the Standard
License
is $ 140.00. (All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE) The license is good for 4
