p****4 发帖数: 517 | 1 Love high draw. Hit several 260+ tee shots on Saturday - flat or up slope,
one of those even into the wind.
I will work hard to improve consistency. Really love the shot. | u******m 发帖数: 307 | 2 Be careful. The beauty of the draw shot is usually followed by the nasty
snap hook. You have been warned here. LOL :) | p****4 发帖数: 517 | 3 Thanks. point well taken.
I guess I am ahead of the game. I am no stranger to snap hook and nasty pull
. Occasionally I do miss the "good old time" that I can count on slicing the
ball on all shots. ;-)

I think when my arm out run my body, I hit sanp hook. My fix is slow down
arm and hold a little longer. It's easier to say than done.

| a***x 发帖数: 398 | 5 For driver, fade or power fade give me more predictable results for me on
narrow fairway even usually 10-20 yards shorter than draw. Maybe because my
nature swing tendency is outside-in, up-right and body open at impact. If I
have to hit a draw shot, I have to pay extra attention on lot's of small
pieces (stance, grip ,ball position, swing path, etc...)to make a good shot
. Draw shot is not my body nature swing, therefore I spent a lot of time on
driving range on it but still not good at it.
"FIT", about slow down the arm and shoulder, one couch told me a small
adjustment: when down swing weight shitting start, feel you left hand give
the end-of shaft handler an extra push away from the target. This will put:
1. a little extra hinge on the wrist to gain power;2,a little more arch on
swing;3,most important is a little delay on the arm drop.
maybe help.. good luck | p****4 发帖数: 517 | 6 I tried "slow-down" but was not quite successful. To slow down, you have to
remember to slow down. I tend to forget after a couple of good tee shots.
Everything starts to speed up and screw up.
What I am doing right now is to keep the arms and hip turn at the same (
angular) speed for at least the a split of second after transition. After
that, I am trying to let the shaft go at a uniform speed. This allows me to
hold up my wrist hinge for a later release. If I get excited and everything
speeds up, so be it. As long as my hands do not over-run my hips, I would be
fine. I am working to groove this move and expand to other clubs.
Somehow I feel the club head speed comes mostly from the flex of the shaft.
If you over-swing, the club head passes the neutral point at impact, it
actually slows down. That's why over-swing does not necesarily give you
higher ball speed.

| f*t 发帖数: 382 | 7 Thanks guys for the tips, I will try those on the range. | p****4 发帖数: 517 | 8 Every good high draw shots gave me a feeling of "scooping" the ball with the
toe of the driver, like hitting a top spin on the tennis court. I think
that indicated the right timing for turning of my hands. It felt really good
