sometime you have to use pitching to carry over.
I always told friends who blame pitching, say it is a 70 yards par3, would
you rather to play a 200 yards par3 instead?
Getting closer to the hole is always better nowadays, just look how Bubba
won the Masters.

发帖数: 4031 | 5 A 60 yards chipping is not easy at all. I don't even know what club I am
supposed to use for a long chipping like that. Usually, I do chipping by air
flying the ball to the green or fringe or a few yards in front of the
fringe and let the ball roll toward the hole. I haven't learned how to
control the ball to roll along an uneven fairway toward the green for a 30
or 40 yards.

even after,keep club head heel leading the toe. This will crate clockwise
side spin for fade and soft landing.
you can hit a 60 yard chipping, you can do pitching with very little
adjustment, move ball a little forward, open club face. then use the same
chipping swing will work. 练。。。 |

发帖数: 31 | 9 我觉得主要是：第一杆面保证击球时候杆面方正，除非您是open face, open stance。
第二lie总在变化，顺应lie调整球位（出来的球carry距离不会变化太多,rolling会改
变）。第三杆子的bounce太大不利于触实。有了前两点基本能保证触球solid。
pitching对swing的要求不如driver高，多练练就行 |

Another unsure thing is whether I should do weight shift or
not. It seems that all
pitching starts with most weight on the left foot. After
that, some
instructions say keep the weight on the left for the rest
of the swing;
while others (like David Leadbetter) say weight transfer to
right then come
back to left like a regular swing. Personally I find it
easier to make
accurate shot with weight staying on the left. |

weight shift, no wrist or arm action.
pitching is a mini version swing: 1/4 or half swing. should have the same
weight shift and wrist cocking move.

发帖数: 382 | 12 Short game can be very creative. you can have 52, 56 and 60 like I do, you
have different bounce of the head, you can square or open the face to use or
not use the bounce, you can put ball back, middle or front. you can choose
not use wrist at all, or you can choose hinge and hold like Phil. You decide
the combinantion based on the shoot you try to make.
I agree the Bump and run are the easiest. But for the fast greens and tough
pin location. I like to open the face, put ball in the middle, hinge and
hold which will end up with a high and soft ball. But if the course is very
dry and hard, then square the face and not use the bounce at all.
