was there on 8AM but did not get to tee up until 10AM because of frost delay
(26 degree F on 8AM)
Finished the round about 3:40PM, only had a hot dog along the way. Hungry to
death.
played white tee 6290 yards, 71.6/129
2 pars at two easy par 3s (One GIR with 2 putts, another one made a 20+ feet
putt)
2 bogeys, both par 4s
8 doubles,
4 triples
2 +4s
(3 penalty shots included)
Total 110, inline with my expectation for 1st time visit
In both the +4 cases, spent 3 shots in bunker. Bunkers were deep and sand
was heavy.
A very nice course, if there was no frost delay and I could play the 2nd
round before 2PM, then it would be wonderful.
An old gentleman (his final score was about 90) playing with me made the
following comments:
1. My drive was at 15-18 handicap level (around 210 yards total distance, 11
on fairway, 2 in rough next to fairway, one in fairway bunker, no OB),
better than his.
2. I hit ground first then ball when I hit my irons, which was why I lost my
distance/accuracy in my layups
Most likely this is my last full round of 2011.
