发帖数: 290 | 1 play 9 holes today in normally played course. first time got 3 GIR and one
turned out to be birdie and the ohter two were par. but other holes are
aweful. but anyway, i am so happy with that.
and my woods swing is better now, I try to swing like irons. it is a little
bit wierd but result is ok. need more pratice. | j*****j

, the course is not that long, 500yard for par 5 and the longest par 4 is
400 yards, longest par 3 is 195 yards. total 42 for this par 35 9 hole. Now
my iron is pretty straight and still not dare to use woods.

still, you need to take advantage of the biggest weapon in your bag to bring
your game to next level.
I suggest you can use the drill I always recommend: chipping balls using
your fairway woods (hybrid) on the carpet at your home, try to feel the
contact, remember how you make the solid contact, then exaggerate your
movement, from 1/8 (1/4) swing to 1/4 swing, half swing and finally full-
swing.

i feel he is just the opposite side of me. i agree driver is the biggest
weapon. I always used driver as much as i can. the best hole works for me
now is driver + short iron (or p wedge)
But the most troublesome distance for me now is around 150, with 180 or
above, i might switch to hybrid or fairway woods. for around 150, somehow i
think i can use 4,5,6,7 depending on the wind, bunker, water, ... and my
body condition. it is very to h

it doesn't matter how far the ball will go.. just feel/listen the contact.
you can always make the ball moving , as long as you touch the ball. However
, there are some contacts which will make you feel so crisp and solid,
sounding like "ping", for the rest, they are either "ding" or "dong". so go
for the "ping" , remember what contact makes the "ping". that's the main
concept.
For those which make "ding" "dong", they are most likely hook/slice when

played another 9 hole and got 3 pars. thinking how hard to get birdie since
I cant putt in even 5 feet . but normally 2 putt is enough for me once the
ball is on green. still need to improve GIR. that is the key to lower score
