发帖数: 4031 | 2 A better idea is to change the grips by yourself. If you don't buy a lot of
grips, what you save is the labor expense.
It's worth if you can find a decent grip at $5 at GolfSmith. $3 per grip is
the standard labor charge for a grip change. I had a local GolfSmith change a few
grips before and couldn't find a good grip less than $8 in there. so ending
up with paying more than $10 for a grip change.
I suggest trying small golf shops, They may offer good deals for grip
changes.

发帖数: 412 | 3 change one or two clubs first, then try and feel to see whether you like the
new grip or not. If you are happy with the new one, then do for the rest.
Otherwise, try different grip makes and models.
The price is about fair unless you do it by yourself.

if you try to change a whole set, of course, those numbers add up togather
quickly.
for me, i only change few clubs which used most or more frequently, namely
few wedges and 7,8 irons, the outcome is really dramatic (with or without
the new gripbs)
once i got a 30% off coupons, i was so excited and decided to change few
clubs. wholy crap, with 30% off, i change 3 clubs, total i only saved $3
bucks.

发帖数: 307 | 7 I change all my grips myself. The easiest way is using air (I use the
auto tire inflator). No solvent and double sided tape needed. No need to
wait for drying and you can play right away. You can install, remove and
reuse the grip as many time as you want. |
