set so often :) |
ET 发帖数: 10701 | 2 unfortunately, i did have some experience.
also, i kept i5 for almost 1 year, and would stick with s59 for a while..
except someone pays me for using a new set. lol...
it's quite easy. golfsmith has the whole set you can buy, with the
instruction. the most difficult part is to pull the old grip out, for those
guys who have right tools to put in. for our indivual, the most difficult
part is to put new grip in, since we, normally, need to figure out how to
put the new grip on..
by all measures, it

And

Good Luck

ET 发帖数: 10701 | 6 how did you put them on?
i don't have a desk to fixure the shaft, so all are held by hand, it's kind
of tough.

t*****n 发帖数: 467 | 7 The gripping kit come with a shaft clamp, put the shaft in, then tighten up
in the vice and then you are ready to go. It's really easy. Bring your clubs
next time you visit Philly, I'll charge you $2 per club for re-gripping it.
hehe.

u*********r 发帖数: 2735 | 8 I got a small project table (shown as attached picture, $8) from a local
hardware store and found it quite helpful. Its long wooden clamp is quite
good to hold the shaft.
To scrape the old tape off is most difficult and time consuming part of the
job. It took me 80% of the whole time.
One tip, wet the tape thoroughly with solvent right before put on new grip.

Then it's much easier to cut the old grip off, just like cut a piece of
paper.

z**z 发帖数: 231 | 10 Got a question. Is it worthy to do by yourself, considering expense on all
these tools? How much those golf stores charge for re-grip? |
u*********r 发帖数: 2735 | 11 for weekend player, it's recommended to regrip once a year. The expense
will
be pretty much the same.
for daily player, 2 or 3 times a year.
So it's not about the expense. DIY gives you full control of the process
and
a feeling of achievement. And it's easy, I estimate it will cost me around
an hour to finish the whole set.
