only heat your house with furnace which most likely uses gas.
If you have heat pump plus furnace.The heat pump will heat the house mostly.
But if it is too cold, the furnace will fire up and provide additional
heating.
Heat pump use much less electricity than electric heater. My experience is
to NOT use electric heater because it just converts electricity to heat,
which is very inefficient in term of energy. | s******o
