demoted Pluto from planet status, the state legislature of
New Mexico has declared that Pluto is a planet, naming
March 13 2007 "pluto Planet Day". The resolution notes that

Clyde Tombaugh, who discovered Pluto in 1930, was a resident

发帖数: 1994 | 4 02年的时候,这个BBS上只有天文俱乐部,没有地球物理.我曾经
联络几个地球的人,建议把天文从俱乐部区挪到科学区,然后纳入
地球类科学,起版名叫"谈天说地",可惜应者了了,不了了之.
后来就有了这个版,可天文还在俱乐部区里面窝着.

Royal Astronomical Society, and it is the one which
includes all (quote its webpage) "astronomy & astrophysics,
geophysics, solar and solar-terrestrial physics, and
planetary sciences".
It is unlike in US, which has American Geophysical Union
and American Astronomical Society, two separate
organizations.
So, if following UK style, the new board should be named
"astronomical".
