Seattle versus Pittsburgh, last year's Super Bowl, appeared to be a business
-page mismatch. Seattle, cradle of Microsoft, Nordstrom and Starbucks, drips
with glitz and growth. Pittsburgh, by contrast, has shrunk in population
and lost headquarters for more great companies than it's kept, although it
still retains a revived U.S. Steel and aluminum powerhouse Alcoa. Football
