falling into a wild African dogs exhibit have settled their lawsuit against
the Pittsburgh zoo.
Attorneys for the boy’s parents, Jason and Elizabeth Derkosh, issued a
joint statement Monday with the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.

FLORIDA不熟,SOUTH FLORIDA真是很烂很烂.在MIAMI时,经常在医院都能见到吸大麻的中
学生,PITTSBURGH几个月也见不到一个.
2.PITTs对RESEARCH的支持很好,到UPMC拿数据有一套系统,基本上一步步很轻松.
在MIAMI是做毕业论文拿数据要动用私人关系,那叫一个费劲.
3.PITTS非常CHEAP,给的工资START UP基本上是最低的.给几万刀START UP然后让人
拿了RO1才给TENURE.基本上我们专业在PITTS能拿到TENURE的话回FLORIDA可以做
ASSOCIATE DEAN.PITTS的医疗退休福利也没有FLORIDA好.
4.PITTSBURGH的交通没有那么差,FLORIDA的大学城很无聊.
5.PITTSBURGH周围玩的多点,CENTRAL FLORIDA只有一个ORLANDO.去了10次8次以后就腻
了.不过PITTSBURGH冬天下雪很麻烦.

Central Business District 的地区，当日夜晚或次日上午就没有事情了，回程在13日
上午或中午。
我现在人在New York City 一带，不知道周日怎么去Pittsburgh，以及订哪间旅馆（7
月12日和13日）比较便宜和便捷呢？Megabus 的时间似乎不太方便。
如果有人在周日开车去Pittsburgh，或者在周二回来，我希望能够付费搭乘。对于旅馆
的要求就是在距离目的地不要太远的前提下尽量便宜，可以上网即可。似乎Pittsburgh
没有什么华人家庭旅馆吧。我对Pittsburgh的地理不熟悉，所以希望能最好找到可以问
路的人。

来Pittsburgh之前搬了很多次家,住了一些高消费的城市,
繁华,方便的同时也很拥挤,忙碌,想想住在大城市也就是那么回事.
大城市有大城市的好处,小城市有小城市的好处.
觉得Pittsburgh还OK了,好像在美国算20几位的中等城市吧.
衣食等基本消费都差不多,大城市想住好点的房子会占收入很大比例.
Pittsburgh这里治安相对安全,从工业城市转型为发展教育,医疗,
好学区房价也不高,拖家带口生活也没压力.40万可以买豪宅了.
可能这些是Pittsburgh是被评为适合居住城市的原因吧.
教育的话,托卡内基老先生的福,有很多图书馆博物馆.还有2个中文学校.
孩子上大学还是比较远的事吧...也不一定非要上州内的大学.
朋友的孩子上藤校的也挺多的.
中国超市都是个人经营,时间也不长,有Aldi等,也还凑和.
美食的话以前开过一个贴子,仅供参考

Pittsburgh的话，你就被要求补交差额。
Downtown有几家中国店，中餐馆也有，但是比起大华府区差远了。其他的日常购物就要
看你住那和你的消费习惯了。
Pittsburgh是个山城，天气还算不错了，冬天的情况不比费城和DC差。
特别提醒：Pittsburgh地区公路桥梁错综复杂，认路找地基本上要靠记忆，GPS是远远

不知怎的，这个城市，总让我以为自己在俄罗斯的一座城市，或者德国的某个城市，尤
其是一座座地标性的建筑，之间的距离，那种肃穆，空旷，那份肃杀，清远，

小弟今年5月打算去Department of Orthopedic Surgery, pittsburgh去做2年的访问学
者，有几个问题自己非常关心，所以求教一下各位。

我和lg马上就要relocate到pittsburgh了，所以我们昨天到达了pittsburgh先来找房子
昨晚刚入住了旅馆
早上5点多，lg叫醒我，说门口有只猫在叫
我一看，挖靠，果然是只猫
开门，她就马上进来了
初步检查，比较干净，很亲人，似乎是生育过的母猫，不确定是家猫还是野猫
打电话给前台，说查了昨天的登记记录，没有人带猫入住，我现在已经让他们继续查再
早几天的了记录了，目前还没有回音
不过前台说一个月前似乎看到停车场有一猫徘徊，但是不确定是不是我们现在这个猫，
如果是的话，说明他已经hang around有一段时间了
周围也有不少旅馆，也不知道是不是这些旅馆里跑出来的猫
最希望的就是能找到她的主人皆大欢喜
找不到的话，只能送shelter
请这里的朋友给说说non-kill shelter吧， |

chapel，Pine Richland。 东部Monroeville学区好像一般。2500SQFT5年之内房子(好
学区)要$300k and up. Monroeville的房价要低些。 Pittsburgh North 的Property Tax 大概是2%， Pittsburgh
South 的Property Tax 大概是 3%. |

I agree with that.
Most Pittsburghers are warmhearted and kind.
They might be a little aggressive when they talk about Steelers. But most

even though Boston is colder. I'm not familiar with Pittsburgh, but think it
is more liberal and hi-tech like Boston because there are great schools.
How does Pittsburgh compare to Boston?
Atlanta is perhaps more business and service oriented, but great place to
live. |

Pittsburgh这个城市整体评价如何？气候跟北京比较接近吧？中国人比较多吧，有
