The gears include 50mm f1.4, T2i, and 430EXii.
For indoor, set the parameters as - Tv, 1/1600S, ISO 200, f1.4, 45 degree
flash bouncing, and rely on the 430's auto exposure feature for satisfying
results (even the viewfinder indicates way underexposure). Good things about
these settings:
1. High shutter speed to capture the constantly moving subject
2. Instant and accurate auto-focus - thanks for the 430's focus light n
feedback to the camera
3. Big aperture for pleasing blurred background
4. Low ISO thus good image quality
5. Much reduced flash impact on the eyes
Plan to try the M mode so can set the aperture to f2 w reduced shutter speed,
to get sharper image.
The current swivel LCD isn't of much use - as the focus speed in live-view
is TOO slow. We instead bought a right angle finder to cover difficult angle
photo-taking.
In addition, I suggest people on this board put more efforts on improving
knowledge and skills, instead of unwisely pursuing expensive gears; tough
money on a good flash is always worthwhile. |
