件最后是这么写的
Note that this email is not an official offer for a position, rather it
serves as the basis of my recommendation to the Dean. Once you agree with
the above conditions, and if the Dean approves it, the recommendation will
be forwarded to the Provost and the President. The official offer letter
for a faculty position can be issued only by the President's office so that
there will be no obligation from our side until an official contract is
issued by the President's Office and accepted by you.
要我几天内就回复yes or no。这个他也说不是official offer，我要是说yes算是就正
式从了吗，之后有更好的offer还能拒吗。。。

不过，这个offer并没有定下来，还没过Dean那一关。

不过后面还有两个onsite
有的老板和我说只要没签official的，就可以悔，双方都没有obligation。有的朋友说
学术圈的offer都是这个套路，这就算答应了，我也不知道谁的对

发帖数: 13752 | 5 你的情况，对方的Dean都还没有批呢。不批的概率小，不用紧张，但对方还没有make
commitment。如果Dean批了，Provost那一关一般都会过。
如楼上所说，这时谈好的条款就不好改动了，所以还有什么要求，这个时候要提出来。

发帖数: 856 | 6 条件倒是不打算提了，还算fair，问题是万一后面学校更好环境更好，不接受official
offer的话是不是不太地道。。。
