the concern. You should say it hurts the university because curricula will
not be enriched and research areas will not be broadened by hiring a faculty
with similar background. Don't say it will hurt your funding opportunity. |

同一个系的还可以说点啥
其他系的人家直接就把你ignore,你还招了个敌人
还是不要说啥。

换个思路想想，那个faculty不来你们学院，八成也会去别的单位做faculty，还不是一
样和你竞争学术界的资源。你能挡得住？能把人家赶尽杀绝？此外，可以看看那个人的
老板是谁，要是大牛就最好别招惹了。

you any good and could make yourself look really insecure. In a large
university, it's not so usual for people to work in similar/overlapping
areas.
