minute presentation, "to discuss the learning objectives, teaching method
and grading method and how to best deliver the concepts to undergraduate,
Master audience. PhD audience? ( each group of audience has 10 minutes)
I have never taught master and PhD courses. Can anyone who has done so shed
some light ?
The audience for the presentation will be a mixture of faculty and students
( most of them should be undergraduates)

To undergraduates: deliver concepts with an interesting real world case, and
show them how to solve those cases step by step.
To master's students: deliver concepts with that real world case from
several perspectives, and show them some techniques, then ask them to
identify which techniques could be used to solve the case.
To PhD students: challenge them to identify interesting issues in a real-
world case, ask them to design techniques to solve that case based on their
own perspective, and ask them to comment each other's solutions in terms of
advantages and limitations, contributions, and possible improvements. |

Maybe just describe the strategy and give a couple of examples that's about
it. Plus I need to articulate and slow down my talking. Not a lot can be
done in 10 minutes. am I right? |

example and the strategies of teaching seem to be the only thing we can do.
Maybe just using one example across all three types of strategies could save
some time.

Got the offer. 62K 8-month salary. Mid-west area, teaching school. 4-4
teaching load. There are lots of PhDs students in the program. ( weird).
Research is also required to create projects for producing masters and PhDs.
The salary is too low. But I don't have other choice yet. |

如果这样想,工资是8个月,折合成12月不是也不很低。

y*******g 发帖数: 121 | 9 好像没有什么讲价的余地, 给offer的电话里, 系头先说, 在给定的范围里, 已经给了我最高的价,
我就没什么好讨价还价了。 感觉一般系头这个级别的不会乱说。 再讨价还价显得比
较难看。 教学性的学校, 好像我的这个方向已经高于平均线。 据同系的AP说,
如果spring/summer也教课, 可以多拿40%。 有已经拿潭牛的full professor 全年教
课, 为的是多拿钱。 反正闲着也是闲着。看见teaching school里好多教授第一印象
就是可能上课说话多习惯了, 一个个就跟瞎白忽蛋似的, 说起话来没完没了的
。:)不知道以后自己会不会也变成这样的人。
