At your interview, try to connect your research with faculties there as much
as you can; try to show that you like to do research and you care about
students; and try to show that you would be a good citizen of the department.

Candadiate(

No need to ask for feedbacks from the committee chair as he/she will not
disclose the true reason to you, not to any other candidate either according
to the common privacy regulation.

As to my interview performance, several people told me they enjoyed my talks
. During each one-to-one meeting, I felt the conversations were all smooth
and pleasant.
I did receive a specific feedback from one of the faculty members who
interviewed me. She told me that my articulation or pronunciation wasn't
clear enough even though the speaking itself was fluent. For that reason,
the talk was at times difficult for her to follow from my speaking, even if
she agreed my slides were well prepared. That led to concerns about my
teaching potential.
I was taken back very much by her comments.I thought my English speaking,
though not as good as a native, was decent enough for conversations and
public speakings in general.I don't recall any impression that there was a
noticeable difficulty in understanding me during my talks or conversations,
judging from the responses from the audience and the people I was talking to.
The offer was indeed given to a native speaker. This department has never had a faculty member with a Chinese or eastern Asian origin. Probably there has been a strong expectation on the English speaking skills, something I know I do have room to improve upon.

He is not articulate enough to
teach our undergraduates。

I do intend to speak faster than I should, particularly when I get excited
about what I am talking about, in conversations and in talks. In principle I
know that slowing down helps articulation (and vice versa), but in practice,
apparently I still need more practice.
My (sub)field is very narrow and in average there are only one or two TT
positions each year. Now I have to wait for new openings, if any, next Fall.
