final project在课堂上发的,他根本不在
这种学生就不管他,最后直接fail他?
还是善意提醒他一下? |

send his an email just to remind him of the consequences. |

s*********1 发帖数: 1166 | 5 you do not need any paper trail to fail students!

calculate his grade according to guideline in the syllabus you distributed
to them at the beginning of teh semester and then decide whether to fail him

just my 2 cent/ |

2. many test questions are taught in class.
3. the student has no interest in your teaching
4. the student lost 10% attendance marks.
based on the 4 reasons, the student will fail.

t**********d 发帖数: 257 | 9 I use Blackboard/WebCT for all the courses I teach. All announcements (
assignments, exam, ...) are made on Blackboard and emailed to all
students. All handouts are provided through Blackboard electronically. I
don't distribute hard copies and I don't take any hard copy submissions. I
also post all assignment scores and cumulative total scores in Blackboard.
Hence I won't bother to remind any student. The student has no excuse to
miss any assignment or deadline. In most courses, I don't grade them based
on attendance.
If a research course requires in-class discussions and attendance/
participation is part of course grade, I make it very clear on syllabus
and
I periodically release their participation scores. |
