麻烦。大家看这样行吗？有何要补充的？会不会太严肃？
Important notes
1) Class attendance is required to receive handouts and information related
to class schedules. Quizzes cannot be taken outside classes unless you
notify Dr. X of a missing class in advance. This syllabus is not final and
updated versions may be distributed. If you have failed to make to a
lecture, be sure to check with your classmates or with Dr. X afterwards.
2) You should be able to finish the homework assignments on your own if you
have attended all the lectures. If you receive help from classmates, please
note down the name of the helpers/coworkers on your assignments and it will
NOT affect your scores. However, if consultations are obvious and you fail
to indicate team work, you may be questioned.
3) If you cannot turn in your homework in time, notify Dr. X before it’s
due to work on a feasible plan.
4) Quizzes, mid-term, and final exams are closed-book. However, you are
allowed to bring a “cheat-sheet” (A4 or letter sized, double sided,
handwritten) to the final exam (but not to the quizzes or mid-term exam).
Academic honesty/integrity is highly valued. More can be found here:

5) Questions on any score (homework, quizzes, etc.) shall be brought up to
Dr. X within a week after you receive the score. Exams and quizzes will be
scanned and archived right after they are graded. |

比如you will be questioned? questioned means what?
就写 Group discussion is only permitted by you have to write the names of
people who you discuss with. No exception. Please refer to honor code of XXX
school.

Part of my online HW policy "No late homework will be accepted. I DO NOT
respond to any request for last homework."
因为以前总有人给我发email for late homework，现在一概不回，也就没有给我发了
。不过我这是给两三百人的大班的课。 |

发帖数: 2992 | 6 这要看学校情况。我们这里很多学生放着仨作业都没交，最后老师劝他头俩算了，要不
然永远赶不上。我不能落个恶名。不能按时交的，给宽限三天到一周。其实最后他总也
要做完，也占不了多少便宜。逼急了，他去抄，更不好。

发帖数: 2992 | 8 多谢提醒！放在这儿的主要目的是强调syllabus会在课堂上发，没拿到错过了最新考试
时间可别怨我。
不知为啥，我最恨缺课的学生。老老实实学习的，笨点儿我也忍了。曾经有个什么
study调查东西方教育方式不同。说中国人喜欢夸孩子聪明，而西方人praise for
hard work。我一直牢记在心。

发帖数: 2992 | 9 我一直觉得，教一门课，最重要是让学生实实在在学些知识。最好还是高高兴兴地学，
哪怕学的不 多，能让他对这个领域感兴趣了，他以后还会学。我要是教10个知识点，
他能真正领悟三五个，我就很高兴了。逼他把10个都记住了，可能考完试就忘了8个。 |

然后细节知道怎么查工具书就够了。

他选过一门研究生的经济系的课，号称很难，而且最后的得分只看期末考试
于是他和另外一个同学约定，只有到最后一周才开始学
结果两个人都拿了A
