positions, academic job of this area has been very tough for years in CS. At
least several friends of mine with very good publications are still
struggling with their PostDoc in top schools and waiting for opportunities.
Check cra this year, I saw a lot of security and data mining related, but
computer vision, one, or two, or three openings?

this my advisor does not want me to graduate. So I'm just waiting to be

I have been following the CRA list for three years. Few schools are looking for vision candidates. Only 3 or 4 schools this year if I remembered correctly. Way less than other areas.
Also keep in mind that the vision area is a relatively large area, so more
phds, more postdocs and many Chinese...

要是现在学生找方向的话还是先说对什么感兴趣和擅长，热门的专业不是那么靠谱的，
等5，6年出来谁知道到时候什么hot了。就好比parallel computing，本来都死了，现
在又活了。sensor networks曾经很hot，现在就不咋样。
