finding papers, preparing ppt, writing up small results analysis, master
thesis can be part of your publication.
When you identify good students, send them to big bull lab for Ph.D. to
enhance collaboration. |

Could some one please give some more information about this university and
dept.?
No offense, but just did not find it in the US news rank. So i am curious
what kind of university it is.

The department has BS program and MS program, no Ph.D. program. It's a
teaching school, but you also need to do research.

MS students could help faculty doing research. That's a good plus.
In a teaching school, how many courses should one teach each semester? And
teaching will have greater weight in the tenure evaluation than research,
right? |

situations in which you are waived of one or two courses for each semester,
such as funds, service...
In our school, teaching weighs a little more than research.

发帖数: 230 | 11 I applied for West Chester 5 years ago and did not get an interview.
This univ. is only 15 miles from where I live. It is 30 miles west of Philly. The town is very nice and the quality of life is great. The teaching load
is heavy though. The promotion seems fast and relatively easy. You can be a
full professor after 10 years of teaching (with a few publications, as it
seems). |

的candidate还得等一阵子呢。
要申请的，现在寄regular mail也应该赶趟的，不过最好抓点紧。

can be you are too good, better than their faculty.
I applied and was rejected by West Chester 5 years ago. |
