标 题: 薄后 和 research scientisit有啥区别?

[事情：]
老板的一个朋友给的博士后（以前比较牛，现在在美国有一定影响力）机会。今天打电
话用因为以后想去工业界的话H1B visa 会有gap锯掉了。然后老板的朋友马上说能够给
我non-tenure track research faculty的位置 （most likely research scientist）
。工资48k，然后说如果我觉得不够可以提，然后他去work out，他说可以把我的时间
再分给另外一个老板一点，然后两边加起来support我。
[背景：]
我们领域比较小，生物仪器方向，工业界机会有但是不多，一年不超过5个。fresh Ph.
D. 薪水大概75K-90K，但是绿卡公司会压很久才申请。
[问题：]
工业界的offer去年拿了两个（一个78K 一个82k），但是因为地点还有绿 |

我的背景
fresh Ph.D. 非生物化学方向，本专业期刊最高IF都<4.5
文章<7篇，review过3篇,引用<10, 会议>10, 在申请的专利=2,学生级别的行奖=4，还
有几个fellowship.
这个背景加上research scientisit 有戏吗？有没有什么办法能够说服学校帮我申请绿
卡？就像tennure track的法考题那样

than NIW. |

1A, but definitely not lower than NIW.

Eb1b。办绿卡花的钱快赶上房子首期了，还在被律师和uscis折磨，已经到忍耐极限了。

research professor, lecturer, technician等等都可以，postdoc不行)，USCIS没意见
关键看学校是否sponsor
我们学校规定是呆满四年才给sponsor

发帖数: 1939 | 14 办绿卡容易多了，还可以做PI申请grant， 呆几年拿到绿卡了，如果还是non-tenure
track，可以
去工业界找个senior一点的位置。

somewhere USCIS posted a memo to explain the definition of permanent job.
google it.
