报了，IRA和USCIS没有追究. 后来我另外一个同事就选择不拿了。
BTW, why RMB? I thought they always pay US dollars? |

Sorry. It is $. I made a typo. How can I reject the money? Just tell them I
just want to be a reviewer with no payment? How about the money they gave
for taxi and meal? Are they illegal too?
BTW: how about the pay for book publication? I have a book chapter published
. They paied me $300. Shoud I reject it too?

发帖数: 1835 | 5 The money can pay for your cost (e.g., hotels, cab). As long as you don't
receive a check directly from them, there is no legal issue. Otherwise
you will have to report it to IRS at the end of the year as part of your
income outside your immediate employer, which takes a different form.
To reject check, just tell them your visa status does not allow income from
the sponsor of your visa. |
