compete each other, their relationship is more like the local service
provider in telecom industry.
Comcast spent 1B in past a few years on purchasing the dark fiber, it's time
for them to build up their own backbone.
Not sure about TWC, as far as I know, TWC is still using Sprint, MCI(now
verizon) backbone. Building it's own backbone might be in their plan.

likely the good ones are going to buy out those are still struggling, just

what SBC (now AT&T) and verizon did. heard AT&T is trying to buy/merge
BellSouth?
I guess, eventually every industry only needs two big players, and everybody
else is just taking some niche market

发帖数: 17771 | 4 SBC aquired ATT, Verizon aquired MCI, including the aquisition atemp done by
Qwest, they are all RBOCs purchasing traditional long distance. I have not
heard anything about the merge of SBC and BellSouth, in contrast, I've heard
the spin off of Sprint local. Sprint local is being spun off from Sprint
Nextel.
Cable industry is an old industry, their competition is from the RBOCs' IPTV
implementation, I think it should be better for them to just stay away from
each other at this point.
