In most of cases, remote access VPN is account based, not IP based so I don'
t see why you couldn't connect your VPN on your friend's IP.
The installation depends on VPN implementation, you need to follow IT
instructions.

my friend's house for example) such that all my net traffics (chrome, vpn
to my company and google hangout) show the remote network's external IP?

You VPN to the remote site (your friends network)
Your friend then VPN to your company VPN, with NATing your traffics.
