发帖数: 1292 | 2 Cisco and Juniper both claim they can bundle a VPN client for iphone, seem
to be more SSL based VPNs, Cisco has ipsec VPN as well for iphone. All these
are advanced packages that required private API and privileged access from
Apple on the handsets that normal Apps won't get.
I Don't see similar on Android from big names like above, i guess the reason
being that android devices are from so many vendors and for the access
level VPN domain, it is more about linux kernel versions and root level
access, unless being bundled with vendors the VPN client will require end
user to root the device etc.
So you can see it is hard to unify access interface for both iphone and
android devices.
However from some previous testing, people attested that the current built
in VPN on IPhone and Android can interop with traditional IPsec VPN gateways
such as Cisco's if configured properly, it seems running ipsec over L2TP.
Another way to look at the access is to take a look at Citrix products
tailored for enterprise application virtualization, thin client running on a
Citrix client (on iphone and android) conduits the apps to the handsets.
To conclude a bit, i think the Citrix type of product fits better if the
application to be delivered are clear defined and being a finite set
supported by Citrix. Otherwise to provide access layer VPN is possible,
such as ipsec or SSL vpns, but the task is quite a challenge.

发帖数: 1292 | 6 还是CITRIX的方案较为简单好用，对DEVICE 要求不高。NETWORK layer 的方案在
mobile devices 上限制较多。比如ANDROID，虽然开源，每家定制有所不同，最要命的
是SSL/IPSEC VPN 需要 root access, 市场上的device 直接安装的程序是没有ROOT
ACCESS的，要在IPHONE 上弄就更是困难。 不排除现在程序其实可以GAIN root access
, 但终究是个HACK.
对，CISCO 有个ANYCONNECT CLIENT FOR ANDROID，但上述限制存在。 |
