发帖数: 80 | 1 刚刚发现还有个教育版，真好。想请教大家点问题，查过精华版了也打 电话给本州(我
住在康州CT)的教育局了，还是想请教这里的朋友。
我工程毕业的，毕业后就去中学教了四年的数学。来美国后拿了个数学专业的硕士。考
了两级的精算师证书，可是因为h1b的问题，找工作挺难，又因为我也确实喜欢教书，
所以琢磨着考个教师证。
请问我这样的情况，还用的着再去读个教育学的学位吗? 还是直接考试就可以了，要取
得教师证要考几个考试啊。看了我们州的alternative route to teacher
certification program ,还真的听麻烦。如果无论如何都要考praxis 1 and 2的话，
那我去那个program 有什么意义呢?
真的希望大家给指点一下迷津，特别是在康州的朋友。

workload too.
Teaching American kids is very different than teaching Math in China. In
China teachers automatically demand respect. Here a teacher has to earn
respect from the kids the hard way.
But welcome aboard if your heart is really in education...
BTW, you can't just take exams and become a teacher. You have to have
student teaching, and combine that with Praxis II to get a real teaching
