S/he provided very reasonable suggestions and raised good questions. I
really want to thank him/her personally and to clarify some questions s/he
asked. I feel that with two-way communication, this paper can be further
improved.
I have a vague idea on who s/he might be, but I am not sure.
I know that it is not professional to ask the editor who this reviewer is

people said so, it usually implies "stupid question". If this is the case, I
doubt editor will help. Asking adviser for rebuttal would be more normal.
