are not as good as it is ranked. Some Chinese students, however, do value
the engineering program quality more than the overall school reputation.
After all Georgia Tech is supposed to be top 5 engineering school. How can
Rice and Purdue compare to Georgia Tech? I don't know.
I do know one thing, however, that Georgia Tech is well known and considered
a top engineering school in international world other than China.

from Texas Austin. They try to get into Georgia Tech. TI take people from
Georgia Tech but not from Austin. Many Georgia Tech Grads go work for MIT
Lincoln Lab. Aerospace Engineering works closely with NASA and is better
than most top schools such as UC Berkerly. USC seems better than Austin
because of its industrial ties. |

Caltech. They all provide good enough environment for us to learn and
exceed. Schools like MIT and Stanford are definitely on the top for sure.
But top 10 schools in general are much better than schools after 15th rank. |

I do believe UT-Austin is also a top school in the first level. No question
about that! What I said was TI traditionally hire more GA Tech students
than from UT-Austin. But TI is not the only company, it's just a big and
very well-known EE company. I agree with you that UT-Austin has an
excellent location and will have an easy time to find jobs.

再看location，最后才关注一下排名。

户呢。说GaTech是暴发户，是因为历史上没出过什么诺贝尔之类的，说美国是个暴发户
，也是历史文化短，但这并不妨碍大家削尖脑袋往这跑。
GaTech在美国工业界的地位是没人能够否认的，北邮在中国通信业界的地位也是没人能
否认的。
类比只是个类比，不是等价。你哪能以为GaTech就跟北邮真的是一个水平呢？类比清华
是MIT, 按照你的思路，那么多清华的学生去不了MIT,Stanford,Berkeley，怎么不留在
清华，而连比Ohio University都差的学校也会去呢？
除了MIT Stanford Berkeley三个学校地位无人能够撼动，其他几个学校单看排名已经
没多大意义了，应该看重的是 方向、老板、老婆。
