Heng, we submited our paper in Sept. 2000, got first review this summer only
(accepted). And we revised, there is no response up to now.... Is there
anyone here who is reviewing the paper?
In that paper, we did optimal synchronous multiuser detection for a 50-user
system with Monte-Carlo simulation. The 50-user system has a hardest setting
like equal power and random 53-length signature.
In a later paper, we used that example, but the reviewer refuse to believe

NP-Hard problem doesn't mean you always need exponential time to solve it.
It only means the worst case is exponential. There are lots of NP-hard
problems with larger scale can be solved pretty quickly. (But, you cannot
guarentee that you can find optimal solution in polynomial time, in general).
We simulated all BER ranges, from 10^-1 to 10^-4. BTW, higher BER is much
tougher. Simulating 10^-6 BER with 10^9 Monte-Carlo runs is much easier.

哈哈. 通俗易懂. 其实, 偶看的很多东东都是有苦劳没有功劳. 比如有人说饲料A
可以喂猪, 猪吃了每天长6~7斤. 有人发明了饲料B, 说饲料B也可以喂猪, 猪吃了
每天涨8~9斤. 然后有人就写文章了, 说实际中你可能得到100%的饲料A么? 实际
中A和B 都是饲料, 储存在类似的地方, 难免会混在一起. 那么我推导发现, A和
B混合起来也可以喂猪, 不过猪到底长多少很难推导, 我的结果可以用一个三行的
公式表达, 不过总结来说, 猪每天长7~8斤, 介于A和B之间....
这种虽然看起来是废话, 不过偶通常都不敢拒这样的文章.... 但是还有一种文章
说有一种毒药共含C,D,E三种成份, 猪吃了是会死的. 我发现先除去C, 然后加入饲料A,
然后再除去成份D, E, 然后给猪吃. 猪居然就长肉了. 我虽然不知道会长多少, 但
大概6~7斤.... 这样的文章我通常才敢拒掉. |
