Sorry to use a new account posing this information.
(1.) HR3012 is near the edge of death.
HR3012 itself has bi-partisan support and promising to pass; the real block
is various interest groups want to use it as a boat to pass their own bills.
These groups are all powerful and their bills conflict with each other and
all hard to pass. As a boat, HR3012 now has no chance to pass alone; its
fate is bond with these mess bills.
(1.1) First conflict is between Grassley and Irish. Irish has great senate
power and Grassley has great seniority to hold a bill. Irish want to add 10K
/year workforce to US labor market, but Grassley shouts loudly that he
opposes foreign worker to replace US worker (letter to president and Mrs.
Wedel, youtube video..). This is an un-solvable conflict.
(1.2) Second conflict is between who gains credits on Irish bill. Irish bill
is initiated by 3 Democrats big heads but Repub Brown made his own copy.
Last week Brown made huge noise that sounds like he's the key person behind
Irish bill. He even said the bill can pass Senate within last week. He as a
ranking 70th+ senator, nobody should believe his words. Obviously his
purpose is not pushing the bill, he is digging/stealing credits from the
bill to gain supports from Irish in MA state. However as it should be, his
big words turned out to be fake: no bill has any move last week. And what's
more, the Ireland foreign minister after meeting with him also said (google
minister's name + brown + E-3, it's a .ie news site), it's difficult to get
bi-partisan support for the bill.
(1.3) Third conflict is which party gains legislative credits in a
presidential election year. In election year either party wants to pass
their bill and block opponent's bill. It's well known Democrats are real
proposer of Irish bill, which if passed, Repub is giving away credits to
Demos. That's also the reason why Demo have 53 supporters but so hard to
find supporters from Repub. Grassley's hold on S.1983 is also a sign: not
only hold HR3012 but also the Irish bill. When Brown talks with Mitch
McConell on this, the minority leader of Repub told him if Grassley is fine,
he has no problem. This is so clear that Repub minority leader does not
support.
(2.) IV is at the edge of dried up.
(2.1) There has been words that IV now owned lobbyists money. That's the
reason their core team ask people to donate again and again without even
telling out a word. Their excuse is they don't want ROWers to know what's
happening therefore ROWers cannot make strategy accordingly. This is a HUGE
LIE. Lobbying is common in US and just that a few ways. Nothing secret there
. Just take a look at Irish people. Their websites report everyday every
their progress; from meeting with senator to foreign minister conference,
from the meeting with local mayor/leadership to doubts on Brown and support
on Schumer. Nothing needs to be dark here. Compared with Irish lobbying
power, IV is a little newbie, but it acts like FBI or CIA. Lobbying is
nothing about secret. What IV is doing is obviously hiding something which
cannot be told to donors.
(2.2) As one proof, IV forum has locked a few hot threads where donor
reporting action items. No HR3012 related topic can be discussed on IV forum
now. If they do thing bright and right, why stop donors report their action
items?
(2.3) Another proof is, hidden acting is not IV's habit. From the drafting
of HR3012, to every step moving in the House, IV was making huge noise and
announcements. But after entering senate, which needs much more money to
lobby, their noise disappears. Instead they act hiddenly like FBI and ask
for money and money.
(2.4) At the last, donors wonder what fruits does IV have after spending so
much money. Irish and Grassley are reporting their actions and progress
nearly day by day. News websites also keep confirming their efforts. But in
last 2 months, nothing has been heard about IV's efforts and any progress of
supports under HR3012 itself. After more information is released that, huge
initiator and lobbyst of HR3012 is actually huge IT companies who spent
millions of $$$, donors start to doubt IV's annoucement that IV is the
behind power. It's a joke that IV can compare with Microsoft/Google/Intel in
lobbying a bill.

发帖数: 584 | 3 Brown是最搞笑的，之前信心满满的说上周法案就会过，之后是屁动静也没有。明显是
在摆pose喊口号来偷民主党credits的。他这么干只能越搅越混 - 民主党怎么可能在大
选年让一个共和党小丑把他们bill的credits抢了？
至于后来的以色列E2法案，Grassley给奥巴马写信，他们这些法案之前老早就提出过，
之前通不过，他们屁也没有。现在大选年了，又出来摆高调pose重炒旧饭，目的很明显
就是吸引特定群体的选票。至于是否真能通过，他们心里比谁都清楚。不过谁让选举年
喊口号出来就能赚votes呢。当年奥巴马也是喊出了无数牛逼口号，忽悠了美国人的
votes当上了总统。现在议员们在bill上的表演如出一辙。

穷的表现。我们目前所能做的只能是从爱荷华州内对Grassley一个人发力，胜算有多少
，大概百分之一吧。可是如果不有始有终地试一下，胜算肯定是零啊。我们还在努力促
成爱荷华中间派团体说服老头，但愿奇迹发生。爱荷华的政治特点是民主党共和党各半
，少数中间派能在关键时刻起到秤砣压千斤的作用，所以是历届总统选举第一战兵家必
争之地。但愿老头虽无竞选连任之压力，仍然因为将来的原因而卖给中间力量一个面子。
