发帖数: 201 | 1 My wife just was told by her school that even though her I-20 expires on
June of this year, because she finished the whole program last month, her I-
20 will be canceled at the end of this month if she does not register some
classes for this semester. Clearly it is something the office of
international students could have done better.
In this case, would you suggest that we follow the advices from the school
and register for this semester (extra fees will apply) or should we just
submit the application to change her status to H4? If we apply for the
change of status to H4, I am just not sure if we are going to have enough
time to file it. I just want to avoid any gap in our immigration status,
especially, as we get very close to submit the I-485.
any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. | m*******l
