3012 on the Senate Floor
In the morning, Senate Majority Leader, Sen. Harry Reid laid out today's sch
edule for the Senate floor without mentioning H.R. 3012. At the end of the l
egislative day today, the record will reflect that again no one mentioned ab
out the bill. Thus a day has gone by without any light at the end of turnnel
for this legislation. Maybe it does not mean that this bill is dead. It pro
bably means that there is an intense negotiation and lobbying by the parties
involved. Until something is worked out and a motion is introduced either t
o proceed with the bill or motion to cloture to break Sen. Grassley's filibu
ster in excess of 60 yea votes, the days will go by on the Senate floor with
out fruits towards the Christmas/New Year celebrations. | s*****m
