标 题: 如果申请了绿卡，然后公司里职位被promote了怎么办？

分2种情况，一种是原部门promote到更高职位，一种是promote到其他部门的更高职位
，请问这样的话，原先的eb2是不是会作废，要重新申请呢？（是不是还要考虑
perm，140,485三个阶段的不同情况？）

发帖数: 367 | 3 if it's natural progression, you don't need to do anything. If the promoted
position duties are substantially
different, a new PERM may be needed. You don't lose anything, can still keep
the old PD. Your H1B may need
to be amended too. Consult with an experienced immigration attorney, or your
company's immigration
counsel.

应为绿卡其实是为future employment而申请的，即使我现在不会当前公司工作，他们
也可以帮我
申请绿卡。。。所以即使promote了，也不需要重新file？
