both are full solution from hardware to software
PDW is interesting because it is a large scale *distrusted* data warehouse
solution; it's made up with multiple individual SQL servers controlled by
a central SQL hub. and it's scalable on processing power and storage.
quite interesting.
there are a lot of limitations but it's their 1st version. 2nd version is
already in the pipeline and waiting to release with Denali
they are competing with teradata and I think if this product works as good
as it sounds, MS has a shot.

几百个节点已经是很多了
不能像 cloud 的配置那样，什么 commodity machine 都能往里连，几千台都有
MS 如果重写 parallel db，要是能突破这个限制，能 scale out to cloud
还是非常有意义的
