这什么是warehouse呢？查词典就会告诉你是“仓储、仓库”等意思。在这里的朋友都
知道，Warehouse Sale就是用“白菜”价格购买名品的地方。但是我记起来两年前，我
还在国内的时候，却很是不理解这个warehouse到底是什么。
那是在两年多以前，我还在北京的家中收拾行李准备来多伦多的时候，有一次跟朋友在
MSN上聊到多伦多的衣食住行，朋友在MSN上绘声绘色给我形容加拿大的Warehouse Sale
，说是在一个大大的仓库一样的房子里面，所有的东西都乱七八糟地堆在那里，每个人
手里都拿着一个大大的塑料袋，见到好的就往袋子里塞，还跟我讲排队结帐的时候，队
伍蜿蜿蜒蜒能拐好几道弯……听得我是一头雾水：怎么名牌货放在仓库里卖？那不是都
是残次处理品才这么卖么？朋友笑而不答，说：你自己过来看吧。
2008年的时候因为种种原因，没有去warehouse sale，今年一开春，天气好了，我就开

warehouse部分需要有进货录入，出货记录，存货清单，提货单，等等，其中当前
inventory需要可以让客户随时查阅。不需要物流功能，因为目前只是一个warehouse,
只做local生意。
online order需要就是让客户通过查阅库存后下单。
客户管理部分就是每个客户有自己的账户，不同的discount rate,记录各自之前的
order history, 付账方式等等。
我8年前做web hosting生意的时候，自己开发过一个类似这样的系统（没有warehouse
），用的是python+postqreSQL 现在不想自己再编程了，所以想买现成的用。以前是
virtural business,现在是卖实物，差的挺远。 |

Data Warehouse里的 tables 主要分为两大类：ETL, reporting
这贴只聊ETL tables 。 ETL=Extract, transform, load. 这是干什么呢？
Data Warehouse 的数据来自不同部门。比如银行的来自：
- 投资产品部门（你买的各种 funds）
- 贷款部门 （房屋贷款，汽车贷款，商业贷款）
- 存款账户 （saving acct, checking acct...）
这三个部门分别有自己的数据系统，数据不统一，把它们混合在一起进入一个Data
Warehouse就要规范化。我现在说得简单，干起来还需要了解一些银行业务的细节，当
然你会有 business analysts 来解释，他们已经有文档供你读。

区那些地方邻街的带WAREHOUSE的OFFICE都很便宜，大约＄０。３／SQUARE FEET／
MONTH。但是还要自己花水电ALARM等管理费用。
不带WAREHOUSE的OFFICE ROOM的话更便宜了，每月几百元的都有。

我想了解一下amazon warehouse 的信息，比如哪种货会被送到哪个warehouse. 可是
amazon 不肯在我注册professional seller 之前透露半点消息。

发帖数: 88 | 49 准备做wholesale,计算成本的时候，在考虑租warehouse/storage还是直接送货到客户。
租warehouse/storage的目的是，万一客户不满意，不想因为货直接/已经到客户，因为
客户种种不满意的问题，而被他要挟。
直接到客户呢，至少可以省人工装卸费，storage的租金等等。
大家的经验是什么。可以分享吗？非常感谢！ |
