看大家都说要从develoer做起。能否具体说说db developer和别的developer的区别吗？
这个也是靠经验吃饭吗？
直接在local的公司找个junior dba的机会不知道怎么样？
一般给不给h1b sponsor呢？

"一般给不给h1b sponsor呢？" only that company's HR and sky knows...
db developer writes SQL, Reports, designs database application etc. much
easier to find entry level positions than DBA.

I have more questions and hope you can help me with them.
To be a db developer, could you recommend some books or courses to start
with? How to get experience by self-study?
What is the difference of career path for db developer and programmer? Which
is better for female? How about the job market of these two positions in
China? Is it easy to get a good db developer job in China?

人说了小公司不需要dedicated DBA.你做做之后再跳，大公司的DBA
的工作内容太窄，所以也木得多大挑战性，做好本职工作，剩下的时间
做自己感兴趣的事情，当然大公司混不是技术好就成，天天和人开会
占据50%以上的时间

.NET or JAVA programmers get higher salary. But my personal feeling is
those career peak at early 40's, age-wise, and then it'll become harder
and harder to keep up with the new things coming out every couple years.
sql code doesn't change nearly as quick, so it's more likely to see
older db developers still doing very well in the industry today. but MS
SQL Server 2005 and 2008 have some pretty significant upgrades, and new

what is the difference between db developer and MS SQL developer? Thanks.
I do not care about the salary a lot. I just want to find a steady career
path, not too tough when I get older. I like to learn new things step by
step without too much pressure.

Java code. Most of these people have been staying on their job for very long
time. So, the steady career path in DBA probably means sitting there doing
nothing LOL.....

but generally, MS has more jobs, and should be easier to find entry level
jobs
Oracle pays more, but fewer jobs.
the basics are almost the same. when you get to the stuff that really
differentiate T-SQL and PL/SQL, hopefully you have a feel about what you
want to do.

sql developer是只要写一些sql的语句就好了吗？从数据库中提取信息什么的吗？和数
据库设计有联系吗？
