V*****n 发帖数: 893 | 1 pretty much decided on the motobecane fantom29 elite. But could use some
thoughts.

system. The mainstream is going 2x10 or 1x11. | V*****n 发帖数: 893 | 3 it's a real pity to me. But bikesdirect is a little behind the curve. But
given the money, It's a compromise I feel ok to take.
there is also the 27.5(+) trend. I would prefer 650b wheels because they are
just more proportional. But then again, bikesdirect is a bit behind and is
probably why they can get is cheap.
a bigger thing to me is that the setup seems between xc and trail. It has a
bit long chainstay, the 120mm fork will also relax the head angle. is that a
good thing for me to have? I love riding fast and push hard. not so much a
DH for fun guys (I am actually a little scared of it). so either I buy it so
it will be easier for me. or maybe I should fuck my true self and start
having some fun. Both good reasons to go a bit less xc.
or I can just wait a bit for bd to catch up and see how the 27.5 will play
out. But it has been freaking hard to get out and ride in the seattle rain
and I am eager to try something new. (always loved the idea of riding up the
mountains on the quiet trail, away from cars. But don't want to get too
technical though. need those grinding efforts).
I felt that in the end, if the size, geo, wheel size doesn't work out, it's
still a good groupo for the next bike without losing too much money. agreed? | V*****n 发帖数: 893 | 4 ended up pulling the trigger on this. has to be the fastest (and ease)
decision I have made getting into a new sport. I like the new me. will
report back how I like it.
I figure if I need real milage to decide on the size and geo of the bike, I
might as well go all in on the parts given the frame is free anyway.
we all know what this can lead to (if all goes well): Leadville 100. my boss
has already signed up the lottery for the run after finishing it this year.
