Chinatown's Yung Wing School - PS 124 - needs our help!
On Thursday - Nov. 3rd - all over New York City, public elementary schools
hold parent/teacher conferences.
In Chinatown, large schools like the Yung Wing School/PS 124 - have an
overwhelming number of parents who DO NOT UNDERSTAND English sufficiently to
communicate with teachers.
We need your help in finding bi-lingual Mandarin/Cantonese/Fujianese
speakers to help interpret during these conferences. It is not appropriate
for children to be asked to interpret for the parent.
Our Chinatown partner - the Yung Wing School/PS 124 - needs volunteers who
can speak and understand a Chinese dialect.
Any friends, school mates, co-workers or family members who might be free
on Thursday Nov. 3 to volunteer for 2-3 hours or so on Nov. 3 (see below)?
___ afternoon (12:30 - 2:30) or
___ evening (4:30 - 7:30 PM)

yourself).
