Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- President-elect Barack Obama said he’ll make the “
single largest new investment” in roads, bridges and public buildings since
the Eisenhower Administration to lift the sagging economy and create jobs.

在的公路系统已经半个世纪前规划的，延伸和改造都是时候了。我相信这个计划会
通过。
另外，infrastructure计划除了道路，还要建学校，医院，水处理设施等等，都少不了

will benefit Mexicans for sure, but hard to say for consultants and
engineers.
The real Spring may be the Spring of 2010. Wish everybody would survive the
brutal 2009. |

time, and only ready-to-go construction work can do it. Design of any major
project will easily take more than a year, and only need a handful of
engineers.
The first money will go to repair and upgrade bridges, roads, and sewer
system, which primarily need labors. If you read the plan, upgrading
government buildings is only a small portion of it.

ng design. Firstly, it requires a detailed survey of the existing condition.
Then, the proposed work will be documented including every single bolt that
will b
e used. For example, there will be even more work to repair a bridge than to
build a new one because of traffic control issues, sometimes complicated ph
ase/stage plan if the bridge is in a

antly if money is here. Some FEMA repair projects moved really fast in my co
mpany and we did not take

back the good times as in 2005 and 2006 for everybody in this industry.
My point was that you might not see it until the second half of 2009 or
early 2010. And also your firm needs to know government clients very well.

一点信息。
对于公共设施维修，不是说像自家房子漏了，找个老墨来修屋
顶就好了。那样的确只给低级劳工力提供机会。
公共设施的维护要有详细的调查，计算，施工方案，监督，验收。
有人问了，维修也要图纸计算？是的，维修不是刷油漆，刷错了
没事。有很多加固，扩建，比新建还麻烦。不然出了事故，桥踏
房倒，关系人命，出一起就够受的，那时找包工头也没有用。这个
投资计划估计有10-20%给工程设计，然后建材，施工设备公司，
土建施工公司直接受益。我觉得老墨拿的倒是少数。
