at least in Malysia, the first language is Malay, not english.
all schools (private, public and Chinese) must use Malay as 1st
language for tutoring, this is a law.
although some private/or Chinese schools teach a lot English, and some
courses are in English, if compared with Malay, English is always their
2nd language.

去买东西，出来时门口有一售货员坐在门外边的花坛沿上休息，看见我，就来了句

). 比如，他们不用象我们一样的拼音注音，而是一种奇怪的象文字一样的东西注音。

我公司里不少台湾人，大部分是外省籍的。期中一个很有趣
看到我们大陆来的就爱聊大陆如何发展进步了、台湾被李登辉搞死等话题。
他家中装有小耳朵经常录像给我们看，象春节联欢会、中秋、还看过99年的那个阅兵。

每星期有2-3晚上要住他家因为他家离开公司太远了。尤其是下雪的冬天。晚上他们在一
起看CCTV4，看我亲戚订的人民日报海外版。。。
我有次奇怪他这种报纸也看得下去？
他淡淡的说学学简体字罢
我觉得没必要强迫自己选边。非得标榜自己是哪里人

一两句汉语，什么你好，谢谢，再见，我是日本人什
么的。也难怪，这里汉语是英语之外学的人最多的外
语。
他们在本科的时候第二外语是必修，好像我们研究室
有一半左右的学生是选的汉语。原因也简单，大家普
遍认为汉语是最容易学的，好拿学分，呵呵。
