data. It's actually for the class of 2013. It was a banner year for them
with 9 getting admitted to Harvard, that's why they put the info up to there
.:-) Normally the number would be 5 or 6. Of course it's still very
impressive. The data for Hinsdale were for intention to attend at the
reporting time. You may have multiple offers, but only one to attend. They
were also of the class of 2014, which was less stellar, but still there were
kids got accepted at MIT, Duke, and Caltech. Not zero. If you look at the
class of 2013, it's actually better. At the reporting time on May 30, 3 were
accepted by Harvard and 1 waitlisted, 1 by Princeton and 4 waitlisted, and
4 by Yale and 1 waitlisted. Duke also admitted 7 and waitlisted 3. The final
results could be better, given that some students might have not reported
the acceptance they got at that time and some waitlisted might have moved up
later. Hinsdale also did fine as to the top colleges in chicagoland.
University of Chicago admitted 10 and waitlisted 8 while Northwestern did 28
and 10, respectively. Even for Northwestern, it's not Harvard, but if your
kids can get into its MMSS program, you won't have to worry about anything.
Recruiters love these graduates and there will be tons of attractive job
offers waiting for them in 4 years. And guess what, UIUC accepted 167 from
Hinsdale Central!!! With all said, Lexington is indeed smaller yet better
than Hinsdale.
So the bottom line here is Chicago is ok and Boston is better. I want you
guys stay and I'll move. :-) |

我琢磨着纠结录取率的同学，是不是自己上高中时，中国top 2 录取率特别高啊？
偶觉着，高中每年IVY+top 10，录取率能有1%就是不错的学校，超过1%就很好了。
怎么大家都盯着20%看？就算Boston的高中好大学录取率能有20%，那离100%也差很远，
好不好。
北京4中再牛，也不是100%的学生进TOP 2 不是。
与其在这里纠结上什么好高中，不如花心思想想怎么让自己孩子学得更好。
