上周下完雨地滑没刹住，红灯前把前面的车尾部撞了。外州来的，rental car, 一警察
刚好经过，问了情况，file了report，给我罚单，把我驾照没收了。
同事说对方是外州来到估计不会上庭， 如果我去的话，对方没来估计就没事了。 版上
有有经验的吗？ |

Your case will be dismissed at the court, but your insurance is still liable
to pay for the other party's damage. You still need to pay fine if there
are any and get back your DL.

不需要出庭 这和你赔人家修车钱应该是两码事..

in court, I'd recommend just pay the ticket and be done with it. As long as
you don't rack up 3 moving violations in IL you are fine.
However, if court apparence IS required, you MUST go to court on the
requested date. Just request the supervision and pay the ticket, and be done
with it.
If you choose to contest the ticket, you will need to appare in court as
well, and show prove and so forth and so on.
For your particular case, I'd recommend just pay the ticket and don't even
bother with contesting. Just watch for cops next time. |

I have to go to court anyways, since i did not have my insurance with me
when the cop caught me...

发帖数: 2675 | 20 如果警察有你确定超速的证据 我建议你还是别去上庭了 我一哥们超速 警察当时都推
荐他上庭 还说自己到时候不一定能去 他不去我哥们就没事了 结果警察当天按时出席
证据确凿 根本没有什么可争辩的 结果我哥们只能认错 交罚款 外加法庭审理费。。。

次就能减免呢？ 就好像有人犯事了说 我不懂法 我喝醉了 我头一回 就没事了？ 现在

IL drivers can get up to 3 moving violations per year from the date of the first violation. Once 3 moving
violations are collected your license will be suspended.
Depending on the offense, your moving violation may or may not to require you to appare in court.
If you are REQUIRED to appare in court, then you must do so.
You can choose to contest your citation in court regardless if you are required to appear in court or not. A
traffic lawyer is recommended if you want to contest your citation in court. If you win the case, there will be no
record of your violation.
You can choose NOT to contest your citation, which means you plead guilty, the that citation counts towards
the 3.
So if it is only your first moving violation and you don't have speeding issues like me, pay your ticket, try not
to speed or get caught speeding for a year.

Beside fine, you have to pay court fee as surcharge.
