The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences of the
University of Louisville seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in
Computational Chemistry to begin in Fall 2017. The successful candidate is
expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the area of
physical chemistry and to develop a competitive, extramurally funded
research program in the development of multiscale models for complex
chemical systems. This position is expected to enhance the reach of our on-
going collaborative programs with faculty across our and other universities.
The Chemistry Department is equipped with numerous NMR and MS instruments
as well as state-of-the-art high-resolution and ultrafast laser systems. On-
campus computational facilities include a 530-node IBM system in the
Cardinal Research Cluster. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely allied field is
required, and postdoctoral experience is preferred.
