In middle June, two reviewers recommended as-is publication, but the third
one rejected saying that the signal is just noise. Submitted the first major
revision in middle July to include more data points.
In middle early September, the third review admitted that the signal is
indeed clear and reproducible. But the signal is too small to be of any
significance. Submitted the second major revision in late October to discuss
that the small signal is noteworthy.
No response since then. No reply to my last week's email or this week's
telephone.
I should take it easy. But my boss loves to see peer-reviewed publication,
which may help me to have two more percent merit increase in 2014. So I am
