A technology company is seeking a full-time Principal Chemist that will
serve as a key member of the technical team and be responsible for driving
our conjugated polymer thrust. We are innovating new methods for low-cost
conjugated polymer preparation. The successful candidate will be a hands-on
organic and polymer chemist. The successful candidate will require
undertaking conjugated polymer synthesis, dispersion, separation and
materials characterization. The candidate will be responsible for
coordinating customers with major research institutes and industry
collaborators.
Responsibilities:
* Develop methods to prepare for low-cost and high quality conjugated
polymers to satisfy customers’ standards.
* Develop methods to separate conjugated polymers into different molecular
weight portions.
* Characterize conjugated polymers.
* Research, develop other conjugated organics for OLED, OPV, TFT, fuel cell,
magnetic device, and battery.
Requirements:
* Candidates must have a PhD in Chemistry with direct and ample experience
working with conjugated polymers and/or organics.
* Excellent communication and listening skills is a must.
* The ability to function effectively in a team environment is a must.
* Thrive on working in an exciting entrepreneurial environment. Act with a
sense of urgency without sacrificing excellence.
* Professional demeanor at all times, including the ability to remain
thoughtful and focused under pressure.
