发帖数: 32 | 1 论坛上没见过几张谈非名校MBA在美国找工作的建议，想必不止我一个人属于这种情况
，不知道同仁们可否给些建议。 如果大家拍砖 砸番茄请自便 但请最后时留下指点
时间所剩无几 只想尽快找到工作。。。
背景: MBA金融， 有过2年国内工作经验，国际贸易行业的。 在学校有奖学金 学科成
绩很好 但是这跟找工作没关系 ， 面试交流 自我感觉没有问题。 在准备CFA 2级。
。 今年5月份毕业到现在 一直在纽约附近找工作，与Finance和国贸相关的试了很多
基本通过朋友networking 和 网络 但基本全军覆没，Opt 还剩下不到2个月了， 感觉
离 正规公司的 interview ( 中，小型的 investment firm 及 asset managment firm
) 还是有段距离。 想一些 high turnover 的 brokerage 及 advisory 经常打电话来
但自己做不了 因为长期计划是想回国发展 只不过想在美国这边有几年的工作经验。
。。
不知道是否有同仁遇到过类似的情况，可否分享你们的找工作经验， 拿出全职时间来
找工作真是耗费很大， 牛人们 |

I had my intern at one of the top tier financial firm as entry level analyst
but unfortunately they did not sponsor due to the TARP Act later on.

如果你一定要去投行或者asset management，那你就要做长期奋斗的准备
如果就是找个工作就行了，就多投投多找找，有些行业现在招人还挺多的 |

的也不多。。。
最近是看到不少地方招人。。。 加油了 。。
看到这么多人看帖不回 那我继续：
过来人（特指MBA师兄师姐们成功land career 的） 给找工作的时候的聚到排个顺序吧
，并给些见解， 我觉得有以下几个渠道：
1) 公司网站， 有针对性的 target 公司 和职位，然后直接申 加 电话给 hiring
manager
2) 找专业的 Recruiter Agency ， 根据他们网站的database里面的职位具体谈。
3）Networking.....
看到 其它版区很火 什么找工作经验贴一大堆。。。 怎么这里就。。莫非我太弱了。

only intention was to be helpful to people going through what I and many of
my friends/coworkers went through. Not sure why I deserved your sarcasm.
Btw, we usually do not brag that corporate finance is the hardest field to
get in, because we are afraid that folks in Venture Capital, Investment
Banking, Private Equity, Hedge Fund, Mutual Fund, Asset Management or
Trading might laugh at us.

Corp Fin is way lower than IBanking in terms of barriers to entry. A
financial analyst job at a typical company is not that tough to get at all.
As a matter of fact, most Corp Fin directors would laugh themselves awake
if you offered them an IBank associate job.

Corporate finance is IB function in-house. Company finance is FP&A
IB jobs are not as hard as you think if you are from a top 20 or even top 30
school. A hiring manager from GS and ML told us that, like it or not, they
have to keep feeding the machine every year. Therefore a large amount of
fresh meats are needed. |

fit in middle office doing valuation work on different financial products,
or PE entities, some limited spots in operations (back office process and
control). are you interested in these at all? Not very glamorous, but good

好像不在这种地方做就不敢出来见人一样。
PE前台也有做operation review的，不见得比投行middle office的control group好多
少。
就算是做control的，不也挺好么，6点下班，当了VP也有十几万，在纽约也饿不死。何
况楼主说了自
己不是名校，脚踏实地才是最重要的，说那么多ibank ooxx的跟没说一样。
还有别以为所有人都想当ibank associate，连续2年半夜1点前没进过家门，周六加班
，感恩节假赶
进度的日子你过不够，还有人过够了呢！

小半年 job hunting 总结： 拼命争取机会还是有的，但是感觉目前的形式商学院
MBA/MS学生能拿到理想的offer比较少,也就是所谓的 Job 和 Career 之间的区别吧。

比如像intel这种公司的finance要求非常高，当然如果你是去delta 这种航空公司，或
者home depot，那还是容易很多，因为他们的finance工作很多是和operation之类打交
道，并不是非常core的finance类型的工作。说白了，这种活并非狭义上的corp
finance，但是这种容易也是基于你能和他们的recruiter联系上，或者他们去你的系里
找人，随便在网上投个建立就拿到面试的可能性非常小。engineering 转finance没什
么好奇怪的，因为本来这两个工种就很像，更别提如果是做EECS的话，直接就可以写很
多code去了。
IB要看firm的，firm小的也不是大家像的这么难。而且非常累人，和consulting也有一
拼了，我知道的有些小firm的staff说起来，5年当中，有几次是周日上班，有几次是周
六不上班，大家就知道会有多忙了。 |
