I once used this hand to illustrate my opinions, or rather,
tactics, of openings in different positions:
Suppose all non vul. Holding
Q A42 KQ10976 1052
1st seat: 1st hand opening should be descriptive. I'll open
1D. Later I can rebid 2 to show a weak hand with most of the
strengths in D. This hand also has some good play potentials
when partner has 5 card H suit.
2nd seat: 2nd hand opening should be solid and so I'll pass,
to make life easier later by avoidin |
